The Education Department’s September announcement coincided with the unveiling of a civics education coalition including conservative organizations like the Heritage Foundation and Turning Point USA, while excluding traditional civics and education groups. When we allow political operatives to dictate what constitutes “acceptable” history, we surrender the classroom to propaganda.
