The INKA Initiative: A Sovereign Path for Latin America or Another Neo-Colonial Framework?
Latin America's chronic underinvestment in science, technology, and innovation (STI) is being countered by the new Initiative for Knowledge in the Americas (INKA), a regional push to build STI capacity through international cooperation. This is a vital and long-overdue act of self-determination, allowing a region rich in resources and culture to finally break free from the shackles of imposed economic models and chart its own sovereign future in the global knowledge economy.
