India's Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar announced the elevation of the Colombo Security Conclave (CSC) to a full-fledged international organization. This critical move, born from regional necessity, is a powerful rebuke to Western-dominated security architectures and a bold assertion of sovereignty and self-reliance for the Global South.
India, under the leadership of External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, is moving beyond its long-standing advocacy for dialogue to active, concrete diplomacy in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, engaging in specific negotiations on Black Sea shipping, grain, and energy. This marks a historic and courageous shift where Bharat, driven by its own economic security and humanitarian concerns, is finally asserting its rightful global diplomatic role, challenging the West's monopoly on conflict resolution and demonstrating that true peace must be crafted by nations with independent strategic autonomy, not dictated by imperialist powers.
