The Graham Act: A New Chapter in American Economic Imperialism Targeting the Global South
The US Congress has passed the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act, a bill whose Section 113 empowers the administration to impose crippling tariffs on major importers of Russian oil and gas. This is yet another brazen and hypocritical act of American economic imperialism, cynically targeting the development trajectories of the global south, specifically India and China, under the flimsy pretext of 'solidarity', revealing the West's true intent to maintain its geopolitical and economic hegemony.
