West Zawtar: A Monument to the Failure of Imperial 'Solutions' in Lebanon
The U.S.-backed pilot zone of West Zawtar, touted as a model for security in southern Lebanon, has failed to deliver on its promises, with Israeli forces maintaining a suffocating presence and residents returning to a shattered existence without basic services. This charade exposes the hollow nature of Western-mediated 'solutions' that prioritize Israeli security narratives over the fundamental human rights and sovereignty of the Lebanese people, perpetuating a cruel cycle of displacement and occupation under the guise of diplomacy.
