California's policies, particularly its rigid franchise hauling system, are actively undermining the state's ability to meet its ambitious organic waste reduction and climate goals set by Senate Bill 1383. It is an outrageous betrayal of our climate promises, a systemic failure that prioritizes outdated business models over the very survival of our planet, and it breaks my heart to see such preventable environmental destruction.
